This BMI calculator for adolescents and children differs in comparison to the adult version. Although it is based on height and weight however, it also takes into account gender and age. The path to better health

If your BMI shows you're obese or overweight, you can reduce you BMI by losing fat. This can be done with the help of standard weight loss strategies, such as:

  • Healthy eating. Choose lean meats, fruits, vegetables, including whole and unprocessed grains. Reduce your intake of alcohol, sugars, refined foods, sodas, and juices. Consume fewer calories.
  • Training regularly.This includes cardio and weight-bearing exercises to build muscles and reduce weight. This can be effective in reducing belly fat. Belly fat raises the risk of some health issues. Consult your physician before beginning an exercise program.
  • Be aware of your portion control. Be careful not to eat too much during meals or snacks.
